Questions about features

Asked by dglp

I'm just having a look at RedNotebook. There are a few things I'm looking for that may or may not exist. Among them are questions about setting up on a network with access from multiple machines. Or alternatively, whether RN can be set up on a webserver.

If either of these is easy to set up, please point me in the direction of an explanation. Thanks, and looking forward to having a play with it.

YOu can put a RedNotebook journal on a shared webserver or in Dropbox
for shared access. However, there is no syncing while RedNotebook is
running, so you need to close RedNotebook on the first client before
opening a second instance from another client.

OK, thanks. I don't use Dropbox, and it sounds like I'd be working with a static version retrieved from a given network location. For my needs, the thing to do is save it in HTML or wikimedia format and import to a web-based wiki.

Can you help with this problem?
