RedNotebook program will not launch suddenly

My RedNotebook application will not launch (no error message, does not appear in Task Manager).

I used it for years.
I've uninstalled and re-installed rev 1.8.0 and 1.8.1
Restarted several times.
Renamed my Journal log folder to start fresh because I read in a previous "Cannot Launch" case that it was a corrupt journal text file that was the cause.
I can't find any rednotebook.log to send you. I am using Win 7 Enterprise.
I don't know what else to try.

The only things I did out of the ordinary today was:
1) edit a few journal entries from a few years ago
2) Downloaded and ran a Kindle Converter. I even deleted that application now.

My error. I was fooling around setting directory attributes and accidentally set /Users/<myself> to "Hidden".
That messed things up.
After correcting the attribute, no problem.
