Inline #tags not recognized

I recently moved from Windows to Linux (Ubuntu) and copied (copied/pasted) my data files from Windows into the linux directory. Now none of the tags embedded in my files are recognized. The tag cloud is empty. The inline/embedded tags still exist in the daily journal entries. What can I do?

If you add new inline tags, are they recognized? Ah, you probably have
an old version of RedNotebook. Grab the latest version from the download
page (from the PPA).

Yes, the new version worked. Sorry, I'm just new to Ubuntu and linux and still fumbling around here.
