can't delete hashtag & it's description

Asked by Valerie

Hello,

I'm using Windows 7 and I tried the keyboard shortcut "Ctrl+N" - it said "Create a new tag" and I just wanted to try it to see if it was the same thing as creating a new HASHtag or not.

I typed in the name of the tag (It said "Select Existing or New Category") and then it said "Write Entry (Optional)". I entered a phrase describing the new tag.

I now have a tag (hashtag? It shows up in the same place as hashtags) that partially brings up the description I typed underneath it. If I click the description, it brings me to the day I created it. That text does not exist for that day though, so that's all that shows up.

I would like to delete that experimental tag and it's description but I can't find a way to do it. I've tried right-clicking and looked at each menu but I don't see anything that says Delete Hashtag (or "Tag" -it is the same thing, right?)

Thanks in advance for any help!

You have used a shortcut for the old right side pane. Try to drag the
right edge of the application into the middle, then you'll see it.

Oops - The hashtag is still showing up on the left (under the calendar). How do I delete a hashtag from that box on the left?

Never mind I figured it out. I had to erase it inside the box, then close and re-open RNB.
