Portrait photo's

Asked by Rob Notting

Hi,

I am newbie on this forum because I just installed RedNotebook on my computer after installing Windows 8.1. Understand in general how it works but have a question about photo's. The normal landscape photo's are shown correctly but portrait photo's are shown lying down allthough I have altered this already in Olympus Viewer etc. Do I need another program like e.g. Picasa in order to show pictures correctly? Have resized images to mobile in order to see the photos's in reasonable resolution.
Who can show my the right direction to solve this issue?

Thanks from Robert living in Thailand.

You will have to set the orientation of the image with an external
program. Try a google search for this.

I need to rotate a photo. Image was taken with smart phone held vertically and turns when I insert it. I tried to change rotation of the photo then insert it but I cannot get it right. Also is there a link for other image formatting tricks.

You'll have to edit the photo outside of RedNotebook with an external
program.

Can you help with this problem?
