Does not completely open and reverts back to not open at all

Asked by Mark S Mirza

I was using an old version of RNB, so I updated to the current version hoping this problem would go away but it hasn't.
When I attempt to open RNB (which I love, by the way), the outer frame of the box that will be the opened file, on my PC, appears and then disappears, within 2-3 seconds...and that is as far as the opening of my RNB software gets.

The solution is to move the file

C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\.rednotebook\data\2013-01.txt
somewhere else, open RedNotebook and copy the text back into RedNotebook.

Alternatively, you can look through the file and see if you see any strange characters in your text. I strongly recommend the first option though.

Be sure to backup the whole journal folder first though!

1) How do I back it up, if I can't open it?
2) Where would I move it to, and, forgive me, but how?

Okay, so I have found this:

C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\.rednotebook\data\2013-01.txt

And I have it opened and saved it in a different location.

Do I move ".rednotebook" to, say, my desk top?

I'm sorry, I don't understand...but I think I can execute what you want me to...when I understand what you want me to do.

OK, here you go:

Move the file C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\.rednotebook\data\2013-01.txt to your desktop.
Then you'll probably be able to open RedNotebook.

Can you please send me the file 2013-01.txt so I can analyze what went wrong? Have you manually edited it?

    Giving the Land a healthy cleansing;

“Give the following instructions to the people of Israel. When you have entered
the land I am giving you, the land itself must observe a Sabbath rest before the
L ord every seventh year. For six years you may plant your fields and prune
your vineyards and harvest your crops, but during the seventh year the land must
have a Sabbath year of complete rest. It is the L ord ’s Sabbath. Do not plant
your fields or prune your vineyards during that year. (Leviticus 25:2-4 NLT)

    Regarding Fairness:

Show your fear of God by not taking advantage of each other. I am the L ord your
    God. (Leviticus 25:17 NLT)

    God''s Provision:

Be assured that I will send my blessing for you in the sixth year, so the land
will produce a crop large enough for three years. When you plant your fields
in the eighth year, you will still be eating from the large crop of the sixth
year. In fact, you will still be eating from that large crop when the new crop
is harvested in the ninth year. (Leviticus 25:21, 22 NLT)

    God rewards righteousness:

“If you follow my decrees and are careful to obey my commands, I will send you
the seasonal rains. The land will then yield its crops, and the trees of the field
will produce their fruit. “I will look favorably upon you, making you fertile
and multiplying your people. And I will fulfill my covenant with you. I will
live among you, and I will not despise you. (Leviticus 26:3, 4, 9, 11 NLT)

God will punish, strongly if need be, and yet will ALWAYS remember His covenant
    with us:

“However, if you do not listen to me or obey all these commands, and if you break
my covenant by rejecting my decrees, treating my regulations with contempt, and
refusing to obey my commands, I will punish you. I will bring sudden terrors
upon you—wasting diseases and burning fevers that will cause your eyes to fail
and your life to ebb away. You will plant your crops in vain because your enemies
will eat them. “And if, in spite of all this, you still disobey me, I will punish
you seven times over for your sins. I will break your proud spirit by making
the skies as unyielding as iron and the earth as hard as bronze. “And if you
fail to learn the lesson and continue your hostility toward me, then I myself
will be hostile toward you. I will personally strike you with calamity seven times
over for your sins. “If in spite of all this you still refuse to listen and still
remain hostile toward me, then I will give full vent to my hostility. I myself
will punish you seven times over for your sins. I will scatter you among the
nations and bring out my sword against you. Your land will become desolate, and
your cities will lie in ruins. Then at last the land will enjoy its neglected
Sabbath years as it lies desolate while you are in exile in the land of your enemies.
Then the land will finally rest and enjoy the Sabbaths it missed. “And for those
of you who survive, I will demoralize you in the land of your enemies. You will
live in such fear that the sound of a leaf driven by the wind will send you fleeing.
You will run as though fleeing from a sword, and you will fall even when no one
pursues you. “But at last my people will confess their sins and the sins of their
ancestors for betraying me and being hostile toward me. When I have turned their
hostility back on them and brought them to the land of their enemies, then at
last their stubborn hearts will be humbled, and they will pay for their sins. Then
I will remember my covenant with Jacob and my covenant with Isaac and my covenant
with Abraham, and I will remember the land. “But despite all this, I will not
utterly reject or despise them while they are in exile in the land of their enemies.
I will not cancel my covenant with them by wiping them out, for I am the L ord their
God. For their sakes I will remember my ancient covenant with their ancestors,
whom I brought out of the land of Egypt in the sight of all the nations, that
    I might be their God. I am the L ord .” (Leviticus 26:14-16, 18, 19, 23, 24, 27,
    28, 33, 34, 36, 40-42, 44, 45 NLT)

“You may not dedicate a firstborn animal to the L ord , for the firstborn of your
cattle, sheep, and goats already belong to him. (Leviticus 27:26 NLT)

5: {text: "01/05/2013 Journal\n\nLord, as I lie in bed, at 4:30 am, thinking about\
\ my conversation with Dr. Waters, the seriousness of what I was sharing, the\
\ idea of You taking the USA down a road that is going to be very difficult, hence,\
\ the constant Old Testament reminders, as in Leviticus 26 where we see that God\
\ rewards the Righteous (Leviticus 26:3, 4, 9, 11 NLT) and then right after that,\
\ we see that due t disobedience, God will punish, strongly if need be, and yet\
\ will ALWAYS remember His covenant with us: (Leviticus 26:14-16, 18, 19, 23,\
    \ 24, 27, 28, 33, 34, 36, 40-42, 44, 45 NLT) this week. Lord, I then thought of\
\ intimacy with Naida, and how \"highly\" I exalt that, Father, I would rather\
\ hear You clearly than have my \"needs\" met. Lord, I do not want to miss what\
\ You have to say to me, ever, and especially with this subject. Lord, I do not\
\ see You turning things around and so I do not want to encourage people that\
    \ \"peace, peace is around the corner\" (Jeremiah 6:14, 8:11) when devastation\
\ is what is headed our way, hence the focus in the pastor's Conferences. WOW!\
\ Read Dr. Stanley's LL note at the bottom of the page for Jeremiah 6:14, it is\
\ EXACTLY what I am saying. Oh Lord, I have spent so much time focusing on satisfying\
\ MY \"needs\" please forgive me. Nothing is more important to me that seeking\
\ Your face, hearing Your voice, correctly dividing Your Word, and consequently,\
\ accurately leading Your people. Father, I renounce the \"personal satisfaction\"\
\ that for years has been so important to me. In the face of being Your bond servant,\
\ NOTHING is more important that You. If I am never again \"satisfied physically\"\
\ I am okay with that Lord. It just isn't that important. Thank You Lord for the\
\ circumstances that have CLEARLY led me to this conclusion...not the conclusion\
\ in my brain, I have always \"known\" that, but in my heart too, where it will\
\ be lived out, over time...because in light of that conversation yesterday with\
\ John, directing these pastors, based on what I believe You are revealing to\
\ me, what I want is to hear You...which means that I do NOT want anything to\
\ get in the way of that, in the way of hearing Your still small voice.\nThank\
\ You for Your favor Lord.\n\nLord, what does the New Testament say about You\
\ disciplining us? The story is different! You are not concerned with having one\
\ nation be the example that You use to teach the world, not it is one people,\
\ Your people, Your Son's bride, Your children. Has Your right-ness, Your justice\
\ been tossed out? No! Jesus talks bout obedience. All of the writers talk about\
\ obedience. And so what is the story of disobedience?\n-Acts 5:1-11, Ananias\
    \ and Sapphira\n-1 Timothy 1:19-20, Hymenaeus and Alexander\n--I wonder, is this\
\ Hymenaeus from 2 Timothy 2:17 \"Hymenaeus and Philetus who have erred concerning\
\ the truth?\"\n--And is this Alexander the Coppersmith from 2 Timothy 4:14?\n\
Lord, how different are we, un the USA, than these men? And therefore, what is\
\ our fate?\nIf we use the Old Testament to pray God's word back to Him, i.e.\
\ 2 Chronicles 7:14, then do we believe the verses before and after, I mean the\
\ verses IMMEDIATELY before and after? I'm talking about verses 13 and 15\n-2\
\ Chronicles 7:13 God says that when HE brings difficulties\n-2 Chronicles 7:15\
\ tells us that He will NOT hear our prayers until we have come to Him, the way\
\ HE wants us to\nWhat is meant in Romans 8:6 where we read that a focus on the\
\ things of the flesh brings us death, which I believe is meaning, destruction?\
\ And in the same verse, a focus on the things of the Spirit brings us Life and\
\ Peace.\nAnd look at Romans 1:18ff, is not this the way many act in the church,\
\ suppressing the truth, living ungodly and unrighteous lives? Are we, the church\
\ in the USA immune to being turned over to the lust of our flesh, and to a depraved\
\ mind? Are we not, like Alexander, to expect God to repay us according to our\
\ deeds (2 Timothy 4:14).\nBut doesn't grace mean that we get a free pass? The\
\ passage, Romans 6:2 is preceded by Romans 5, talking of Justification. So looking\
\ at Romans 5:18-21, we ask the question, is grace a license to sin (Romans 6:1)?\
\ And the answer, of course, is No! God Forbid (Romans 6:2, and repeated again\
\ in Romans 6:15)!\nLooking at Romans 6:7, we see that we are, as saved individuals,\
\ freed from sin..are we freed from discipline? Of course not!!!!\nPaul here is\
\ leading up to the discussion of the conflict between the two natures (Romans\
\ 7:14ff). Then in Romans 8:1 Paul makes clear that there is no condemnation,\
\ but again, is that a license to sin? Does that mean that I will not feel bad\
\ for sinning. Saying it differently, if I sin, is it just for me to feel bad\
\ about it, or is satan just trying, successfully, to make me feel bad? Of course\
\ not...and then Romans 8 goes on to make plain the victory that we have in Christ.\n\
Here's the bottom line, just like in the Old Testament, God will NOT forget His\
\ covenant with us, but does sin have consequences? Absolutely!\nSo what does\
\ all of this mean for the USA?\n1) In general, it means that we are in trouble\n\
--It is only just for God to discipline us\n--And with Him bringing rain to the\
\ just and the unjust (Matthew 5:45), does it not follow that He withholds rain\
\ from the just and the unjust?\nSo when we have fallen away from God, individually,\
\ what must we do? 1 John 1:9, confess our sins, because He is faithful and just.\
\ He will forgive them, and I would add, immediately. But are there not often\
\ times consequences to sin? And as a nation, what should we do? 2 Chronicles\
\ 7:14 is the response..but is there not often times consequences to our sin?\
\ So here is the key, are we willing to let God be God? Let Him determine and\
\ play out the consequences. I suspect that it is our pride that keeps us from\
\ praying, Lord, Your will be done, on earth, just like it has already been determined\
\ in heaven (Matthew 6:10). We don't want to go thru this Lord, but not my will\
\ Father, rather, Your will be done (Matthew 26:42). My role is to seek You first,\
\ Your kingdom and Your righteousness...and I'll leave all the details to you\
\ (Matthew 6:33). And what those details are, are for Him to orchestrate, NOT\
\ for me to \"plead\" my way out of a difficulty. Romans 8:28 does NOT mean that\
\ He makes bad situations good, He may let it get worse, but it will ultimately\
\ be used for \"the better\" just as Christ new when He was in the garden (Matthew\
\ 26:36ff, especially Matthew 26:42)\nSo Lord, what is my roll? Interesting, how\
\ many places do we read about seeking God's hand? And what is the idea of seeking\
\ His face? Simple, you trust Him, and leave all the consequences to Him.\nWhat\
\ is His will for us in the USA?\n-Discipline\n-Break our sinful will\n-Perhaps\
\ even to make us an example to other nations\nWWJD?\n-Nevertheless, not My will\
\ but Thine be done (Matthew 26:42). And isn't that the message that I teach,\
\ JUST TRUST GOD!\nWow, 2 hours have elapsed. Good time, GREAT time with The Lord\
    \ however.\n\nHeard yesterday on the radio:\nDangers of the 20th Century –\n \n\
At the turn of the Twentieth Century (over 100 years ago), one of America's leading\
\ newspapers addressed the following question to many notable people of that time:\
\ \"What in your opinion is the chief danger, social or political, that confronts\
\ the coming century?” General William Booth, who was invited to reply to this\
\ question, sent the following:\n \nI consider that the chief dangers which confront\
\ the coming century will be:\n1. Religion without the Holy Spirit\n2. \
    \ Christianity without Christ\n3. Forgiveness without repentance\n4. \
    \ Salvation without regeneration\n5. Politics without God\n6. Heaven\
\ without Hell\n \nWhile General William Booth was only speculating and predicting\
\ what he believed might happen during the 20th Century, you and I have the ability\
\ to look back and see if his predictions actually came true or not. Personally,\
\ I found his predictions to be quite profound. It's almost as though God had\
\ provided Booth with this insight.\n\nG Campbell Morgan, Job's Answers From Jesus;\n\
A brilliant conquest of bringing New Testament truth to an Old Testament passage.\n\
-Such great nuggets\n-pg 135, he boils the book of Job down to this: \"...the\
\ patience of God and the endurance of man.\"\n\nIn an earlier chapter, about\
\ pg 128 or 130 I recall Morgan talking about a play he went to see in NYC where\
    \ God, \"from the eyes of the negro\" says, in today's vernacular, \"could you\
\ imagine being God, having an end-line that means He has to sit and watch as\
\ people go thru bad things to get to the better things.\"\n-Wow, GREAT book.\

What if I said to you, "You are the reason we do not have revival."

I think I can prove it, "Is there ANYTHING important enough to you that you have

    OR...

    How often do you fast?

How often do you ask yourself the hard questions about sin?

Do you have love for all the saints or some of the saints?

Do you give thanks for everything or some things?

When you believe that The Lord has laid something on your heart, how do you approach
financing it? Do you say, "If Hod Durante want me to do it He won''t supply the
money," or, the variation I like, "oh, there''s no money for it, Gid must not
    want us to do it."

    Do you worry?

Do you listen to God? (15 minutes)

    Psalm 90, great prayer

Considering offerings as "common" interesting wording

Honoring women, daughters, in the OT:

(One of Hepher’s descendants, Zelophehad, had no sons, but his daughters’ names
were Mahlah, Noah, Hoglah, Milcah, and Tirzah.) (Numbers 26:33 NLT)

Asher also had a daughter named Serah. (Numbers 26:46 NLT)

and Amram’s wife was named Jochebed. She also was a descendant of Levi, born among
the Levites in the land of Egypt. Amram and Jochebed became the parents of Aaron,
Moses, and their sister, Miriam. (Numbers 26:59 NLT)

One day a petition was presented by the daughters of Zelophehad—Mahlah, Noah,
Hoglah, Milcah, and Tirzah. Their father, Zelophehad, was a descendant of Hepher
son of Gilead, son of Makir, son of Manasseh, son of Joseph. These women stood
before Moses, Eleazar the priest, the tribal leaders, and the entire community
at the entrance of the Tabernacle. “Our father died in the wilderness,” they
said. “He was not among Korah’s followers, who rebelled against the L ord ; he
died because of his own sin. But he had no sons. Why should the name of our father
disappear from his clan just because he had no sons? Give us property along with
the rest of our relatives.” So Moses brought their case before the L ord . And
the L ord replied to Moses, “The claim of the daughters of Zelophehad is legitimate.
You must give them a grant of land along with their father’s relatives. Assign
them the property that would have been given to their father. “And give the following
instructions to the people of Israel: If a man dies and has no son, then give
his inheritance to his daughters. And if he has no daughter either, transfer
his inheritance to his brothers. If he has no brothers, give his inheritance
to his father’s brothers. But if his father has no brothers, give his inheritance
to the nearest relative in his clan. This is a legal requirement for the people
of Israel, just as the L ord commanded Moses.” (Numbers 27:1-11 NLT)

    Another brilliant prayer by Moses:

Then Moses said to the L ord , “O L ord , you are the God who gives breath to
all creatures. Please appoint a new man as leader for the community. Give them
someone who will guide them wherever they go and will lead them into battle, so
the community of the L ord will not be like sheep without a shepherd.” (Numbers
    27:15-17 NLT)

Relationship protection for women and girls:

These are the regulations the L ord gave Moses concerning relationships between
a man and his wife, and between a father and a young daughter who still lives
    at home. (Numbers 30:16 NLT)

Very active morning in bed, dreams, active, Naida sd I was loud, snoring.

Hot up recognizing I want to be in the Lord''s presence. Also thought about the
verse that, in my mind says, "The light overcame the darkness." But it doesn''t
say that. It is John 1:5 and it is talking about that which came with Him, ie
"life" and that life, which was in Him, was the light of men (John 1:4) and it
was that light which shines in the darkness, that "did not overpower."

So where do we come up with the idea of Jesus overcoming satan?

Ottley, "The Rule of Work and Worship" pg 143, talking about when we are not content
and get concerned about more than we need to, "Christ regards care as an outrage
done to God, as a practical denial of Fatherhood."

Pg 51, "...it is unquestionable that the Prayer is used as a kind of summary of
    all subsequent petitions."

    Need to memorize these too:

Love is patient, love is kind. Love does not envy, is not boastful, is not
conceited, does not act improperly, is not selfish, is not provoked, and does
not keep a record of wrongs. (1 Corinthians 13:4, 5 HCSB)

Interesting that in the N T the idea around death was that the dying person would
go to be with his ancestors whereas in the N T the idea was about going to be
    with Christ.

Then the L ord said to Moses, “On behalf of the people of Israel, take revenge
on the Midianites for leading them into idolatry. After that, you will die and
join your ancestors.” (Numbers 31:1, 2 NLT)

Of The Lord instructed Moses is it realistic to assume that He instructed the
    same of earlier prophets?

At the L ord ’s direction, Moses kept a written record of their progress. These
are the stages of their march, identified by the different places where they stopped
along the way. (Numbers 33:2 NLT)

Obey The Lord or there are consequences:

But if you fail to drive out the people who live in the land, those who remain
will be like splinters in your eyes and thorns in your sides. They will harass
you in the land where you live. And I will do to you what I had planned to do
to them.” (Numbers 33:55, 56 NLT)

Defiled land, polluted land, due to murder:

And never accept a ransom payment from someone who has fled to a city of refuge,
allowing a slayer to return to his property before the death of the high priest. This
will ensure that the land where you live will not be polluted, for murder pollutes
the land. And no sacrifice except the execution of the murderer can purify the
land from murder. You must not defile the land where you live, for I live there
myself. I am the L ord , who lives among the people of Israel.” (Numbers 35:32-34
    NLT)

    11 days vs. 40 years:

Normally it takes only eleven days to travel from Mount Sinai to Kadesh-barnea,
going by way of Mount Seir. (Deuteronomy 1:2 NLT)

    God, our guide:

“But even after all he did, you refused to trust the L ord your God, who goes
before you looking for the best places to camp, guiding you with a pillar of fire
by night and a pillar of cloud by day. (Deuteronomy 1:32, 33 NLT)

Even in times of "wilderness" God is watching AND supplying:

Do not bother them, for I have given them all the hill country around Mount Seir
as their property, and I will not give you even one square foot of their land. If
you need food to eat or water to drink, pay them for it. For the L ord your
God has blessed you in everything you have done. He has watched your every step
through this great wilderness. During these forty years, the L ord your God has
been with you, and you have lacked nothing.”’ (Deuteronomy 2:5-7 NLT)

God us working FOR us even though we think it is against us.

“But King Sihon of Heshbon refused to allow us to pass through, because the L
ord your God made Sihon stubborn and defiant so he could help you defeat him,
as he has now done. (Deuteronomy 2:30 NLT)

Deuteronomy 4, fascinating verses of awe to God.

    Misuse of God''s name:

“You must not misuse the name of the L ord your God. The L ord will not let
you go unpunished if you misuse his name. (Deuteronomy 5:11 NLT

    The heart God wants.

“The L ord heard the request you made to me. And he said, ‘I have heard what
the people said to you, and they are right. Oh, that they would always have hearts
like this, that they might fear me and obey all my commands! If they did, they
and their descendants would prosper forever. (Deuteronomy 5:28, 29 NLT)

    The reason we obey:

For we will be counted as righteous when we obey all the commands the L ord our
God has given us.’ (Deuteronomy 6:25 NLT)

    Love Offering yesterday 334?

    Product Sales

    Elam-Millen Baptist, Millen GA

This morning in car I heard a woman on Focus on the Family talking about the difficulties
the woman faces in the job place, coupled with the challenges to be God''s vessel,
maintaining the priorities.... With one example she talked about the fact that
her friend, "Heard from God" and so she went to her bosses and they were sympathetic
to her need to focus on her priorities.

HERE''S MY PROBLEM WITH THIS...Where is the focus on seeking God?!?!?! And where
is the understanding that ONCE you know what God wants you to do, THEN you move
forward, NOT with the idea psycho-babble ideas on dealing with difficulties, but
with the assurance that NO MATTER what happens, I''ve listened to God and THEREFORE,
all things will work out for the better (Romans 8:28) even if the "situation"
get''s worse! There is nothing wrong with her giving advice on good ways to approach
bosses with creative ways to allow you to focus on your priorities, but the interview
showed me where the focus is, and more importantly, where the focus is NOT. The
focus is NOT on Seeking God...and the leaving all the consequences to Him. The
focus is on a psycho-babble way of dealing with very real issues, but, without
saying it, they were talking about these "priorities" in the vacuum of a "Seeking-God-Less"
Christian culture. In other words, what was preeminent was getting your priorities
dealt with rather than, "Seek God, Obey Him, then Trust Him!"

This is exactly what I see in the Christian church. We have lost the art of seeking
    God.

God really does speak to us...AND WE LIVE!

They said, ‘Look, the L ord our God has shown us his glory and greatness, and
we have heard his voice from the heart of the fire. Today we have seen that God
can speak to us humans, and yet we live! But now, why should we risk death again?
If the L ord our God speaks to us again, we will certainly die and be consumed
by this awesome fire. (Deuteronomy 5:24, 25 NLT)

To reiterate yesterday''s note in my journal, God hears our heart, He hears our
words, and, as in this case, He wants us to always have that heart:

“The L ord heard the request you made to me. And he said, ‘I have heard what
the people said to you, and they are right. Oh, that they would always have hearts
like this, that they might fear me and obey all my commands! If they did, they
and their descendants would prosper forever. (Deuteronomy 5:28, 29 NLT)

    So what did God hear?

Deuteronomy 5:24, Awe and reverence for the greatness of God

Deuteronomy 5:25, God also heard a humbleness on their part...showing a very deep
awe and reverence, a true fear, as in scared, of God

Deuteronomy 5:27, And a submission to hear God, thru Moses, as well as a promise
    to obey Him

    Summary, of what God heard:

Recognition of Awe and Reverence FOR God

Desire to Listen to and Obey of God

    i.e. The Lord''s Prayer, in a nutshell

    Reverence and Trust God

Question...what does this have to do with Seeking God?

    Psycho-Babble or Seeking God

I heard two Christians talking about work and family related stress, challenges
and how to deal with them. Fascinating to me was the "Lip-Service" given to God,
by these two "very Godly folks." It made me realize that we have lost the art
    of seeking God.

    Amazing...the promises in Deuteronomy 6

Deuteronomy 7, sober warnings and CLEAR directions from God, directions FOR holiness.

Why did God do all of these things? Because He LOVES them: Deuteronomy 7:7, "because
    God loves you."

Deuteronomy 7:22, getting rid of the enemy, "little by little"

Deuteronomy 8:1, obey God and flourish

Deuteronomy 8:3, we do not live by bread alone, but by every word that flows from
God...again, we are to Seek God

Deuteronomy 8:11-14a, God even tells us that when we are satisfied, we do not
Seek Him. In fact, we FORGET Him.

Deuteronomy 8:3 and 16, God also humbles us...FOR A REASON! He has a plan, "to
do good for you in the end." (Vs 16)

Deuteronomy 9:4-6, God does not do good things to us BECAUSE of our good, BUT
because of His love, His promise.

Deuteronomy 9:18, compare with vs 11 and 25 and 10:10. Did Moses go for 80 days
    without food and water?

Deuteronomy 9:25-29, God allows Moses to "change His mind" and writes out the
discussion so that we can actually see God''s desire for us

Hebrews 5 ends with the realization of many people''s Christian immaturity.

Hebrews 6 begins with the falling away from the opportunity to grasp faith

Then we get a clear vision of moving into maturity and we read the recounting
of what IS FOR THE IMMATURE to learn, namely:

THEREFORE LET us go on and get past the elementary stage in the teachings and doctrine
of Christ (the Messiah), advancing steadily toward the completeness and perfection
that belong to spiritual maturity. Let us not again be laying the foundation of
repentance and abandonment of dead works (dead formalism) and of the faith [by
which you turned] to God, With teachings about purifying, the laying on of hands,
the resurrection from the dead, and eternal judgment and punishment. [These
are all matters of which you should have been fully aware long, long ago.] If
indeed God permits, we will [now] proceed [to advanced teaching]. (Hebrews 6:1-3
    AMP)

    They are:

    1) the foundation of repentance

    2) abandonment of dead works (dead formalism)

    3) the faith [by which you turned] to God

NOTE: the passage makes it sound like the previous 3 are foundational to understanding
the next 4, but they are ALL clearly considered "milk" and not "meat"

    4) teachings about purifying

    5) the laying on of hands

    6) the resurrection from the dead,

    7) eternal judgment and punishment

Oh Lord, that I would know You, is my prayer.

Thank You for the insights You have given me. I am blessed beyond measure that
You are using me, Your servant, in the area of prayer. Thank You Father, thank
    You.

Lord, You want me to be thankful fir everything and that is what I try to do.
So this morning is another time of thanksgiving, even though it could be an acknowledgment
that it just doesn''t work right. Lord, I thank You that You are in control. I
thank You that nothing us an accident to You. I thank You that You work all things
for the better. I thank You that Your Son came that I might have an abundant life.
And so I trust You for that Lord. Thank You Lord.

Even though Moses was talking to the children/descendants if those that died in
the wilderness, Moses was talking with those who SAW the works of God...You must
understand today that it is not your children who experienced or saw the discipline
of the Lord your God: His greatness, strong hand, and outstretched arm; ..... Your
⌊own⌋ eyes have seen every great work the Lord has done. (Deuteronomy 11:2,
    7 HCSB)

Here''s the question, do we look back and see His mighty works, in 21st century
    USA?

Blessing and Cursing come from us, from the words we speak? No! They come from
    obedience, or disobedience to GOD!

“Look, today I set before you a blessing and a curse: ⌊there will be⌋ a blessing,
if you obey the commands of the Lord your God I am giving you today, and a
curse, if you do not obey the commands of the Lord your God and you turn aside
from the path I command you today by following other gods you have not known.
    (Deuteronomy 11:26-28 HCSB)

    Do not worship like unbelievers:

Don’t worship the Lord your God this way. (Deuteronomy 12:4 HCSB)

Judges 21:25 warned about by Moses, BEFORE they even went over into the promised
    land:

“You are not to do as we are doing here today; everyone ⌊is doing⌋ whatever seems
right in his own eyes. (Deuteronomy 12:8 HCSB)

Dr Stanley''s Life Lesson re: Deuteronomy 12:18, "rejoice before The Lord your
God in all your undertakings" he says, "God wants happy...not dour... paralyzed
and depressed [believers, that are that way] because of all the evil in the world."

    The place The Lord chooses:

“But you are to take the holy offerings you have and your vow offerings and go
to the place the Lord chooses. (Deuteronomy 12:26 HCSB)

God gives the worship boundaries. We do not have to follow other formats, when
    God has given us His:

be careful not to be ensnared by their ways after they have been destroyed before
you. Do not inquire about their gods, asking, ‘How did these nations worship their
gods? I’ll also do the same.’ You must be careful to do everything I command
you; do not add anything to it or take anything away from it. (Deuteronomy 12:30,
    32 HCSB)

Testing a prophet is NOT just based on if it comes true or not:

“If a prophet or someone who has dreams arises among you and proclaims a sign
or wonder to you, and that sign or wonder he has promised you comes about, but
he says, ‘Let us follow other gods,’ which you have not known, ‘and let us worship
them,’ do not listen to that prophet’s words or to that dreamer. For the Lord your
God is testing you to know whether you love the Lord your God with all your
heart and all your soul. (Deuteronomy 13:1-3 HCSB)

    Obedience:

Nothing set apart for destruction is to remain in your hand, so that the Lord will
turn from His burning anger and grant you mercy, show you compassion, and multiply
you as He swore to your fathers. This ⌊will occur⌋ if you obey the Lord your
God, keeping all His commands I am giving you today, doing what is right in the
sight of the Lord your God. (Deuteronomy 13:17, 18 HCSB)

Question: Did God call us here?

God always has a perfect plan and a personal call

We need to serve the city, the city is not here for us

    Jeremiah 29:4-7

Pray for the city of Atlanta

    Jeremiah 29:7 (HCSB)

"Seek the welfare of the city I have deported you to. Pray to the Lord on its

    Welfare, prosper, Shalom, peace...

When a goal is small then God is not at risk

We are more like Jeremiah''s Israelites and God is saying, "You want to live without
    me? Okay!"

Be counter cultural in the city

    Goal:

Serving the city, reaching the world

    God is where it starts

    5) That 1027 church will go on 1 or 2 international trips

    7) That everything above CAN happen, because it''s God''s big dream

    Doug Small, pastors conferences

I love how even the Israelites encouraged Joshua by telling him to be stting and
    courageous:

    Joshua 1:18 (NLT)

"Anyone who rebels against your orders and does not obey your words and everything
you command will be put to death. So be strong and courageous!”"

This is the Word of the Lord for those who are attending this conference:

    Joshua 4:12-13 (NLT)

"The armed warriors from the tribes of Reuben, Gad, and the half-tribe of Manasseh
led the Israelites across the Jordan, just as Moses had directed. These armed
men—about 40,000 strong—were ready for battle, and the LORD was with them as they
crossed over to the plains of Jericho."

Namely, "/They/ led...they were ready for battle, and the Lord was with them."

    Two things here:

    1) the fact that this was written VERY shortly after its occurrence by virtue
if the fact that Rahab was still alive

    2) an interesting research project would be to see if there are records of the
death of the subsequent builders of Jericho''s first and last born

    Joshua 6:25-26 (NLT)

"So Joshua spared Rahab the prostitute and her relatives who were with her in
the house, because she had hidden the spies Joshua sent to Jericho. And she lives
among the Israelites to this day. At that time Joshua invoked this curse: “May
the curse of the LORD fall on anyone who tries to rebuild the town of Jericho.
At the cost of his firstborn son, he will lay its foundation. At the cost of his
youngest son, he will set up its gates.”"

Oh that we would learn to set ourselves apart, stay set apart:

    Joshua 7:1 (NLT)

"But Israel violated the instructions about the things set apart for the LORD.
A man named Achan had stolen some of these dedicated things, so the LORD was very
angry with the Israelites. Achan was the son of Carmi, a descendant of Zimri son
of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah."

Success, blessing from God ONLY comes with the removal of sin from our lives:

    Joshua 7:13 (NLT)

"“Get up! Command the people to purify themselves in preparation for tomorrow.
For this is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: Hidden among you, O Israel,
are things set apart for the LORD. You will never defeat your enemies until you
remove these things from among you."

Incredible words, from the end if the verse: "...You will never defeat your enemies
until you remove these things from among you."

So, what have I heard from the Lord thus far (12:49 am, 28th):

    1) Lead, and be ready for battle, the Lord is with you

    2) You ARE set apart, so LIVE, BE, set apart

    3) If you are living in defeat, you have something that needs to be removed

    Applied to me:

    1) Lord, You have given me the opportunity to lead folks, Oh Lord, that I would
lead them according to Your wisdom, Lord, that I would be ever aware of the battle,
and that You have prepared me for it, by being with me.

    2) Oh Lord, I am so blessed to be set apart, not because I am better than anyone,
but simply because of Your love for me. Cause me Lord, to ALWAYS be submitted
to You, being in the world but not of the world. Father, thank You for being so
generous to me, gracious to me by keeping me from sin, in spite of me, thank You
    Lord.

    3) Lord, as Robert likes to say, "Stay clean and close." Father, cause me to keep
VERY short accounts with You. Father, thank You that Naida notices a smiling Mark
lately. I am confident Father that that is because I am removing the ugliness
in my life. Oh that I would always live this way Father. Oh Lord, is there anything
else, at 1:12am that I need to deal with? --Going thru the Greg Frizzell 7 areas:

-Oh Lord, who might I be proud or condescending towards (Area 2, Godly Attitudes)?
Roger W, Greg S, Naida sometimes. Father, forgive me. Show me how to be s man
    who sincerely loves.

-As I read the verses for Area 3, Holy Speech, I asked myself, "When I pray, do
    demons shudder?"

-Am I prone to exaggeration or lying (Area 3, Holy Speech)? No, but I do have
to be on guard for it.

-Area 4, Right Relationships, I don''t reach out to dad like I should.

-Area 5, Renouncing Sins of Commission, I do abuse my body with my eating habits,
Lord, those need to get better.

-Yes, there is a point of spiritual bondage I allow to stay in my life (Area 6,
Renouncing Sins of Omission) , and that is an unhealthy food intake

-Lord, are there things You have told me to stop, yet I still do them (Area 7,
Embracing Full Surrender and Obedience to Jesus)?

Took until 2:20am before I was done.

3:00 am, and I am WAY on the downhill side of this and I am feeling pretty good.

It''s 3:20...my eyes are a bit droopy, but I feel good!

From above, where I prayed about these issues, regarding me, now I plan to talk
to the Lord about them relative to the attendees:

what have I heard from the Lord thus far (12:49 am, 28th), regarding the Joshua
passages I''ve gleaned from thus evening:

    1) Lead, and be ready for battle, the Lord is with you

    2) You ARE set apart, so LIVE, BE, set apart

    3) If you are living in defeat, you have something that needs to be removed

    Applied to the Attendees:

    1) Lord, prepare these folks by opening the eyes of their heart, to truly lead
their churches. Lord, cause a Holy fear to grip them that will send them to a
point of humbleness that will cause them to be alert to satan as a roaring lion.
Father, as they are prepared to lead, cause them to know the glorious riches they
have here, among the saints, on earth, even before they get to heaven, the biggest
one being Your presence that they get to experience, as they seek You.

    2) Father, I ask that these leaders covenant to live lives TRULY set apart.

    3) Oh Lord, let all of these that come in, experience a cleansing that causes
them to address the things You lay on their hearts. Father, my prayer is not that
they merely acknowledge them, my prayer is that they submit to you

    Have we abandoned the Lord?

    Judges 10:6 (NLT)

"Again the Israelites did evil in the LORD’s sight. They served the images of
Baal and Ashtoreth, and the gods of Aram, Sidon, Moab, Ammon, and Philistia. They
abandoned the LORD and no longer served him at all."

Dies God burn in His anger toward us? I don''t know how he can''t...

    Judges 10:7 (NLT)

"So the LORD burned with anger against Israel, and he turned them over to the
    Philistines and the Ammonites,"

I suspect we''re like this, not hurting enough to call on God yet. Notice: "The
Israelites were in great distress. Finally, they cried out to the LORD"

    Judges 10:9-10 (NLT)

"The Ammonites also crossed to the west side of the Jordan and attacked Judah,
Benjamin, and Ephraim. The Israelites were in great distress. Finally, they cried
out to the LORD for help, saying, “We have sinned against you because we have
abandoned you as our God and have served the images of Baal.”"

Not only are we NOT hurting this much, but our faux sorrow isn''t something that
    God is grieved by, yet.

    Judges 10:15-16 (NLT)

"But the Israelites pleaded with the LORD and said, “We have sinned. Punish us
as you see fit, only rescue us today from our enemies.” Then the Israelites put
aside their foreign gods and served the LORD. And he was grieved by their misery."

The day after Pastor''s Prayer Made Alive conference:

    Reflecting,

    Love offering handled well

    Seasons of prayer handled well

    Mel Blackaby

Oh that we would acknowledge God:

    Judges 2:10 (NLT)

"After that generation died, another generation grew up who did not acknowledge
the LORD or remember the mighty things he had done for Israel."

Taking a "small" tribute is not right, if it causes you to do unhealthy things
    with it.

    Judges 8:22-35 (NLT)

"Then the Israelites said to Gideon, “Be our ruler! You and your son and your
grandson will be our rulers, for you have rescued us from Midian.” But Gideon
replied, “I will not rule over you, nor will my son. The LORD will rule over you!
However, I do have one request—that each of you give me an earring from the plunder
you collected from your fallen enemies.” (The enemies, being Ishmaelites, all
wore gold earrings.) “Gladly!” they replied. They spread out a cloak, and each
one threw in a gold earring he had gathered from the plunder. The weight of the
gold earrings was forty-three pounds, not including the royal ornaments and pendants,
the purple clothing worn by the kings of Midian, or the chains around the necks
of their camels. Gideon made a sacred ephod from the gold and put it in Ophrah,
his hometown. But soon all the Israelites prostituted themselves by worshiping
it, and it became a trap for Gideon and his family. That is the story of how the
people of Israel defeated Midian, which never recovered. Throughout the rest of
Gideon’s lifetime—about forty years—there was peace in the land. Then Gideon son
of Joash returned home. He had seventy sons born to him, for he had many wives.
He also had a concubine in Shechem, who gave birth to a son, whom he named Abimelech.
Gideon died when he was very old, and he was buried in the grave of his father,
Joash, at Ophrah in the land of the clan of Abiezer. As soon as Gideon died, the
Israelites prostituted themselves by worshiping the images of Baal, making Baal-berith
their god. They forgot the LORD their God, who had rescued them from all their
enemies surrounding them. Nor did they show any loyalty to the family of Jerub-baal
(that is, Gideon), despite all the good he had done for Israel."

    Nearly a prayer of blessing:

    Judges 9:19 (NLT)

"“If you have acted honorably and in good faith toward Gideon and his descendants
today, then may you find joy in Abimelech, and may he find joy in you."

God sends difficulties. Did He send a demonic spirit?

    Judges 9:23-24 (NLT)

"God sent a spirit that stirred up trouble between Abimelech and the leading citizens
of Shechem, and they revolted. God was punishing Abimelech for murdering Gideon’s
seventy sons, and the citizens of Shechem for supporting him in this treachery
    of murdering his brothers."

So much destruction comes, when our focus is nit the things of the Spirit (Romans
    8:6)

    Judges 9:49 (NLT)

"So each of them cut down some branches, following Abimelech’s example. They piled
the branches against the walls of the temple and set them on fire. So all the
people who had lived in the tower of Shechem died—about 1,000 men and women."

God disciplines, judges Abimelech and Shechem, but at a HIGH cost to those around
them - Sin affects so many people, this is brokenness that I am feeling tight
now. A broken heart, hurt, for all that happens in a society when its focus is
nit the things if the Spirit (Romans 8:6) and this is my poor and inadequate expression
of God''s brokenness that He sees and experiences, because of sin in societies.

    Judges 9:56-57 (NLT)

"In this way, God punished Abimelech for the evil he had done against his father
by murdering his seventy brothers. God also punished the men of Shechem for all
their evil. So the curse of Jotham son of Gideon was fulfilled."

Oh Lord, how do I then pray?

(Book Idea) How Do I Then Pray?

Lord, how do I pray for our depraved societies?

-Pray these prayers (prayer cards) for churches in your area...based on

    Psalm 5:3, James 1:5, Jeremiah 1:12b and Hebrews 11:1

BUT, PRAY THEM FOR OTHER CHURCHES because you probably cannot pray them for your
own church without thinking of, and then judging those in your church. Also, if
you have to "see" them change then you cannot live Hebrews 11:1. When you pray
for people, there in your church, you naturally begin to desire to see change,
and when that change is s-l-o-w in coming, you loose the passion to pray, you
loose the fervency. So stay away from this temptation by letting the Lord draw
you to the commitment to pray for a church that you may NEVER see the results
of, until you are in heaven. And then...AND THEN, you can truly pray, Thy will
be done, on earth, in that church, as has already been written in heaven...Amen
    and Amen!!!

Wow!!!! Great idea germinating with praying my prayer cards for these five churches.

    Conference call praying begins today

Love God''s specificity. "...you must not..." and "He will begin to..."

    Judges 13:4-5 (NLT)

"So be careful; you must not drink wine or any other alcoholic drink nor eat any
forbidden food. You will become pregnant and give birth to a son, and his hair
must never be cut. For he will be dedicated to God as a Nazirite from birth. He
will begin to rescue Israel from the Philistines.”"

Ask for wisdom (James 1:5), and GIVES it.

    Judges 13:8-9 (NLT)

"Then Manoah prayed to the LORD, saying, “Lord, please let the man of God come
back to us again and give us more instructions about this son who is to be born.”
God answered Manoah’s prayer, and the angel of God appeared once again to his
wife as she was sitting in the field. But her husband, Manoah, was not with her."

Sometime logic evades us, thank the Lord for our lives.

    Judges 13:21-23 (NLT)

"The angel did not appear again to Manoah and his wife. Manoah finally realized
it was the angel of the LORD, and he said to his wife, “We will certainly die,
for we have seen God!” But his wife said, “If the LORD were going to kill us,
he wouldn’t have accepted our burnt offering and grain offering. He wouldn’t have
appeared to us and told us this wonderful thing and done these miracles.”"

Not only are God''s ways not ours, but He often uses what we see as wrong:

    Judges 14:4 (NLT)

"His father and mother didn’t realize the LORD was at work in this, creating an
opportunity to work against the Philistines, who ruled over Israel at that time."

This part if the story of Samson and Delilah always amazes me. And what amazes
me is that her nagging caused him to give up a secret that would make him vulnerable...or
us it really an different than when we let sin entice us, to the point of giving
    in...

    Judges 16:16-17 (NLT)

"She tormented him with her nagging day after day until he was sick to death of
it. Finally, Samson shared his secret with her. “My hair has never been cut,”
he confessed, “for I was dedicated to God as a Nazirite from birth. If my head
were shaved, my strength would leave me, and I would become as weak as anyone
    else.”"

    Ray Stedman on Binding:

The "binding and loosing" mentioned in Matthew 18:18 refers to the agreement in
prayer of believers in line with the promises of God revealed in his Word.

37 miles. Today, Hispanic prayer, 3s, staples

This morning, again trusting God to fix my brain

Historical memory can be very good, when it is important to us

    1 Samuel 4:8-9 (NLT)

"Help! Who can save us from these mighty gods of Israel? They are the same gods
who destroyed the Egyptians with plagues when Israel was in the wilderness. Fight
as never before, Philistines! If you don’t, we will become the Hebrews’ slaves
just as they have been ours! Stand up like men and fight!”"

    1 Samuel 6:6 (NASB)

"Why then do you harden your hearts as the Egyptians and Pharaoh hardened their
hearts? When He had severely dealt with them, did they not allow the people to
    go, and they departed?"

...and heavy, or, overweight...Oh Lord, do I dare ask for forgiveness, or do I
not. No, my stewardship of my body is bad. Forgive me Father.

    1 Samuel 4:18 (NLT)

"When the messenger mentioned what had happened to the Ark of God, Eli fell backward
from his seat beside the gate. He broke his neck and died, for he was old and
overweight. He had been Israel’s judge for forty years."

When God''s judgment is upon you, it can be strong, heavy, hard. The NASB says,
...the hand of the Lord wad heavy on the Ashdodites...

    1 Samuel 5:6 (NLT)

"Then the LORD’s heavy hand struck the people of Ashdod and the nearby villages
    with a plague of tumors."

    1 Samuel 5:11 (NASB)

"They sent therefore and gathered all the lords of the Philistines and said, "Send
away the ark of the God of Israel, and let it return to its own place, so that
it will not kill us and our people." For there was a deadly confusion throughout
the city; the hand of God was very heavy there."

Interesting that the cry of these, non-separated-out one''s cry went up to heaven.

    1 Samuel 5:12 (NASB)

"And the men who did not die were smitten with tumors and the cry of the city
    went up to heaven."

Serious business, being in the presence of God, serious, sobering, and yet great
blessings come from a healthy fear (or awe) of God.

    1 Samuel 6:19-21 (NASB)

"He struck down some of the men of Beth-shemesh because they had looked into the
ark of the Lord. He struck down of all the people, 50,070 men, and the people
mourned because the Lord had struck the people with a great slaughter. The men
of Beth-shemesh said, "Who is able to stand before the Lord, this holy God? And
to whom shall He go up from us?" So they sent messengers to the inhabitants of
    Kiriath-jearim, saying, "The Philistines have brought back the ark of the Lord;
come down and take it up to you.""

    1 Samuel 7:1-3 (NASB)

"And the men of Kiriath-jearim came and took the ark of the Lord and brought it
into the house of Abinadab on the hill, and consecrated Eleazar his son to keep
the ark of the Lord. From the day that the ark remained at Kiriath-jearim, the
time was long, for it was twenty years; and all the house of Israel lamented after
the Lord. Then Samuel spoke to all the house of Israel, saying, "If you return
to the Lord with all your heart, remove the foreign gods and the Ashtaroth from
among you and direct your hearts to the Lord and serve Him alone; and He will
deliver you from the hand of the Philistines.""

1 Samuel 7:1-6, Samuel and prayer

    NDOP Message

-National crisis (for a long period of time, 20 yrs) -- Nit only was it long,
but during this entire time, "...all the house of Israel lamented after the Lord..."
Not too dissimilar to us in the USA, 1 Samuel 7:1-3

-Submission to the Lord, rejecting our idols, -- interestingly, they didn''t just
proclaim it, they demonstrated it (vs 4) 1 Samuel 7:3-4

-Samuel prays AFTER they turn back to God, 1 Samuel 7:5

-- Interesting that we DN hear about Samuel''s praying during this 20 year period.

-- It makes sense, what help will the prayers be if the people are not willing
    to submit to the Lord.

----So how was Samuel praying during these 20 years? We can only guess, but I''ll
bet he was praying like Epaphras in Colossians 4:12, praying that God would open
the spiritual eyes of his countrymen

----I can see Samuel fasting regularly for that which the Lord has laid on his
heart, namely, the burden on his heart would have been the consecration, the setting
apart, the "coming-back-to-the-Lord" of his people

-So they gather, and there they prayed? No! There they fasted and prayed, 1 Samuel
    7:6

    --2 things, fast and pray

----before they fasted and prayed, they poured out water, which was probably "a
symbolic act by which, in the people''s name, Samuel testified their sense if
national corruption--their need of that moral purification of which water us the
emblem, and their sincere desire to pour out their hearts in repentance before
God." (from JFB) -- See also Clarke, who writes extensively on this -- I am reminded
if the verse Lamentations 2:19, there is a lot to the verse, mainly setting the
context, but in the middle if the verse is this, "...Pour out your heart like
water before the presence of the Lord..."

----fast: today, we have so many things that are important to us, but how important
are they? Are they important enough to fast for? And if you''d say yes (which
most people do, by the way), have you, yet (which most people haven''t, by the
    way).

----pray: what was their prayer? Was it asking God to fix their national crisis?
Certainly that was the intent, and the hoped for outcome, but what was said? They
CONFESSED!!! Are we willing to confess? God is interested in your heart. He is
not interested in fixing your circumstances, until your heart is submissive to
Him. If my heart is submissive to Him, then I am content to let God dictate when
and how He fixes things. My focus needs to be confession, not circumstances.

-judged, the passage we''re looking at ends with, Samuel judged Israel. Among
other things, Clarke says, "...[Samuel] taught them how to get reconciled to God."

    1 Samuel 7:1-6 (NASB)

"And the men of Kiriath-jearim came and took the ark of the Lord and brought it
into the house of Abinadab on the hill, and consecrated Eleazar his son to keep
the ark of the Lord. From the day that the ark remained at Kiriath-jearim, the
time was long, for it was twenty years; and all the house of Israel lamented after
the Lord. Then Samuel spoke to all the house of Israel, saying, "If you return
to the Lord with all your heart, remove the foreign gods and the Ashtaroth from
among you and direct your hearts to the Lord and serve Him alone; and He will
deliver you from the hand of the Philistines." So the sons of Israel removed the
Baals and the Ashtaroth and served the Lord alone. Then Samuel said, "Gather all
Israel to Mizpah and I will pray to the Lord for you." They gathered to Mizpah,
and drew water and poured it out before the Lord, and fasted on that day and said
there, "We have sinned against the Lord." And Samuel judged the sons of Israel
    at Mizpah."

One more note regarding this passage and Samuel...the apostles knew they needed
to devote themselves "to prayer and the ministry of the word." Acts 6:4

Oh Lord, that I too would devote myself to prayer and the ministry of the Word.
    Praise You Lord.

Oh Lord, what do I do with this message? Get it on CD immediately!!!!

Well, you can open the 2013-01.txt file with an editor and copy one
fragment at a time into RedNotebook. Close RedNotebook and open it
again, if it fails to open, you know the incorrect fragment.

My guess is that it has something to do with the quotation marks.

Okay, so I took this...2013-01.txt and cut and pasted each segmant into the appropriate day. It was pretty laborious.

Are you saying that I need to do that for each month's .txt file?

I thought that backing it up would also include a "quick-reload" feature. If not that's fine, I just want to ask before I go thru all that work.

Again, I am VERY, VERY pleased with your work ethic and staying with me so much. Thank you immensely!

You mean into RedNotebook, right?

You have never opened the 2013.txt file with a standalone editor (like
notepad), right?

Just found the section you are talking about above, re: editing. Now that I have added it to my RNB (the wrong/bad way) RNB won't let me edit into the correct form.

I also noticed that on Day 5 and Day 17 the formatting didn't format correctly, which tells me there is a problem in on those days too.

When you are talking about editing, are you talking about HTML code? I have done a little bit with that.

Again, I am VERY grateful for you help.

Well, if you have incorrect text inside your file and RedNotebook
doesn't start, you'll have to edit the incorrect file outside
RedNotebook first. You don't have to edit any HTML. The formatting is a
completely separate topic, make sure that RedNotebook loads correctly,
then you can think about styling your text.

Thanks!

Regarding the formatting, I simply took the original data, that I cut and pasted into RNB originally, and it formatted fine. You see I type up my daily comments, usually in my phone and then email them to myself and cut and paste them into RNB...This way RNB becomes a secretary for me pulling up all past notes easily.

Again, thank you very much for your help.

Can you help with this problem?
