How to change date/heading markup?

Asked by Savannah King Norton

The way the date shows up after export drives me crazy because I don't think to use all the heading styles except the =first level= ones, so it's hard to tell my journal days apart. I don't want to have to do funny things to each and every page to make the date and entry separations clear.

Is there a file I can modify so that the date headings have a different text alignment or some other distinguishing features?

Well, if you're on Linux you can alter util/markup.py, otherwise you can
only use a search and replace tool on your month files 2013-10.txt etc.
directly with e.g. sed.

Can you help with this problem?
