Very slow saving since I upgraded to latest version

Since I upgraded to the latest version, 1.6.1, it takes a very long time to save and the system is locked up during this save. I like the program very much and will continue to use it but would like to know if there is something I can do to correct this problem or if I'm doing something wrong. Thanks.

Thanks for the info. Which operating system are you using? Could you
post the logfile from the save operation here (search for rednotebook.log)?
