unresponsive, not responding, locked up, corrupt

Asked by deeaycee

linux mint 12 (ubuntu 11.04)
rednotebook 1.1.6 installed from repositories

just started using rednotebook tonight. added about 17 days worth of notes. while typing the last notes, the software became unresponsive to any input. i had to kill the process.
i had to rename the folder then start rednotebook to get it to work. if i then try to open the original notebook, it locks up immediately.

SOLVED...
ok, i solved this on my own, but i'll post anyway.
i originally installed from synaptic, which gave me version 1.1.6
i checked for an update, saw the newest version is 1.4.0, so I added the PPA and updated.
i found that info here...
http://rednotebook.sourceforge.net/downloads.html
maybe this will help someone else
