How do I include a photo in my entry?

Asked by Scott

It seems straightforward enough, but when I attempt to use the "Insert > Photo" and then select the photo from my files I don't get a photo I get [""file:///C:\Documents and Settings\Eric\My Documents\My Pictures\gremlin"".jpg]. clicking on that code does not get me a photo either. On the home page for RedNotebook it shows a sample page which includes a photo. How do I get that to happen?

I figured it out . . . I was in edit mode and I just had to click on the preview button. Although I admit that I don't get that. I'm assuming that if I go back to an old entry that I've included a photo in or anything else if I really want to see it I have to click preview. If that is preview then what is "view"? In other words, do I have to export it to some other format for it to be a viewable journal? Once I've exported it to say PDF can I still add to it?

The problem of inserting the photo is solved as stated in my own response to the original question.
