Could "Categories" get a bit more sophisticated - namely multiline - editor?

Asked by FI2 on 2012-01-25

I journal several parallel projects. Parallel journal files are quite messy, and sometimes one needs to see the entries in complexity, so I use one journal, and enter the records like Categories. Whenever I need a report of one particular job, I can export the selected category in a date range - which, I think, is a fabulous feature. The only glitch is, that the single line, scrolling input field is a bit hard to handle, mainly when one re-edits the entry. Would it be possible to use a multi-line editor here?

Or else, is there another means to make filtered notes?

Last, not least, thanks for the great work.

I'm sorry, multiline editing is not possible in GTK (the underlying
framework) I think. The simplest solution could be to make the
categories pane bigger (move slider to left).

Ok thank you. Not a deal-breaker at all.
