interface feature request

Asked by shafter

I would like to request you add a the text 'current day,, month, day, year' to the main window and either place it into the title bar or the middle of the menu bar. The text would look like this: Friday 11/18/11 and would reflect the current day open in RN. I realize this info is currently available on the interface but you have to scan the calendar and piece the date together. I have 10 years of data I have imported into RN and frequently have to search through this old data. I believe this addition would be an improvement to the interface. Love the software.

Not sure what you see, but on my instance there's a big solid blue square right on the calendar showing the date of the current record, so this doesn't seem necessary IMO from a UI POV.

However if this were desired by the developer(s), I would suggest just rendering in the same way the HTML export does, as an H1 right at the top of the record in the middle pane.

Putting that in the Window title after the "Rednotebook - Journal Title - " would be nice but also not important IMO, and perhaps more difficult to implement across the different OS platforms.

I'm with Hans here. In interface design often more is less and
information redundancy should be avoided. Thanks for the suggestion though!

Can you help with this problem?
