notifications counter on the icon and auto hiding

It would be very handy to have a number of recent notifications visible on the icon (mailbox) so you don't have to click to see how many times something happened. Another thing is that the list won't auto hide when loosing focus which is very annoying for me.

Added both of those features to the latest bzr branch. They both need testing before I push them to the ppa.

I had to revert the hide-window-on-focus-lost code, it was causing too many issues. I will revisit it later if I find a better way to implement it. The problem is, the window never actually gets focus, so I'm not sure how to tell when it loses it. The code did work, but it was stealing focus from other apps.

The option to show the message count in the applet window will be available in the next ppa update, though.
