Update for ubuntu 12.04?

Asked by Eric Williams

Hello,

I was at one point trying to get fileorganizer to work for my old version of rhythmbox which came with ubuntu 10.04 and did not have any luck. I recently upgraded to the new LTS Ubuntu 12.04 and have been hoping to get the fileorganizer to work for that. I have not had any luck. Any suggestions? Have there been any other people who are trying this?

Thank you so much for your time and help!

Eric

you'll have to be more specific about your troubles, I haven't used ubuntu since 5.10.

It looks like ubuntu is using the latest versions of rhythmbox as well, so there shouldn't actually be any trouble getting it running.

I'm also having this issue under Ubuntu 12.04 with Rhythmbox 2.96. I follow the instructions for installing your plugin, I restart Rhythmbox (and have even restarted the computer, just in case), but when I attempt to enable the plugin, it just won't enable. I'm not able to determine why, but it gives the "-" in a red circle. Are there any logs I can provide information from?

This thread gives the solution. Evidently, your plugin is dependent on the Python eyed3 module, is this correct? Install this module, and it will work under Ubuntu.

Hello, I installed Python eyed3 and then installed fileorganizer. After clicking "organize file" it creates the folders but it doesn't move the files.
I'm under Ubuntu 12.04 64bit.

Can you help with this problem?
