Where is configuration saved

Asked by Timo Olavi

For transfer well made configuration to other installation, I would like to know, where it is saved. I have searched configuration like a "small animal".

If you install and run gconf-editor you can see the config under the path /apps/rapid-photo-downloader

If you've never changed the default value, then the key-value pair probably won't be there.

This may not solve your problem however as copying the values using the gconf-editor interface is not easy. You may find it easier to copy this file: ~/.gconf/apps/rapid-photo-downloader

Please note I have never tried copying this file in isolation from other gconf entries (if I transfer my config, I copy the entire contents of the home directory).

I had myself found this conf-file, but did not firts get old configuration in program working, because i did try run RPD from terminal with debug on. Only when i run RPD from menu, old configuration appeared there.
Thank you for fine program. I am very pleased with it. Only latly sometimes dl is slow. I am using now Ubuntu 12.10.

I'm glad it's solved now. There is a bug under 12.10 that makes it very
slow. I don't yet know what it causing it, because I didn't have a chance
to look at it.
