Use of Tomograph

Asked by Gregory Hanson

Hi,

Does Rally make any changes to Tomograph, or is the source pulled directly from its github page: https://github.com/timjr/tomograph ? I ask because I am interested in exploring Tomograph's functionality before installing all of Rally but the patches provided on tomograph's githib page have not been updated since OpenStack Folsum. I was wondering if it would be possible to pull tomograph's source from their github page but use your tomograph related patches from https://github.com/stackforge/rally/tree/master/openstack-patches/master ? Are the patches listed here for OpenStack Havana or IceHouse?

Thanks for the time and help!

One advice (I will answer faster if you ping me in IRC chat #openstack-rally)

About tomograph it is long long story.

We decided to avoid using of it. And to make profiler with similar idea but based on Ceilometer & current mechanism of RPC notifications. So we will avoid using Zipking, and will be able to merge this to upstream.

At this moment I am working on demo. And here is the lib: https://github.com/pboris/osprofiler

I hope we will get it in upstream in Juno-1

Can you help with this problem?
