"Could not get qid" when importing files

Asked by Tobias Beitz

Hi!

I'm getting the error "could not get qid" when I try to import files. The provided example pdf in "/var/www/quexf/doc/filled/" works fine, the file I created and scanned myself doesn't. The barcode is detected when I test the form compatibility, which is why I am kind of confused.

I created the files with quexml, so the form itself should be fine.

I put the files I used in a zip file in my dropbox:
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/18345112/quexml_quexf_test.zip

I'm using the following setup:
- Ubuntu 14.04.03 in a virtual machine in virtual box
- queXF 1.13.5
- queXML 1.3.12
- TCPDF 6.2.11
- ghostscript 9.10 (also tried 9.18)

I should mention that I'm getting a "Could not detect user authentication." error when I test the configuration. I don't think this is related though. Still working on this problem (first time setting up all this stuff so I have no idea what I'm doing).

There is a bug in the default GS 9.10 that appears in Ubuntu 14.04 - please refer to the bug report here:

Seems I was a bit too quick. I just updated ghostscript to version 9.18 and the problem still persists. Same files and everything. Test configuration acknowledges the ghostscript 9.18. I'd love to share my virtual machine, but it's about 9 GB now.

One problem here is that the form you have created has the same qid/barcode as the test form (1)

Please change your test_03.xml queXML file to have a different id attribute in the questionnaire element (eg id="2"), regenerate the PDF file and try importing it again.

Adam
