array (numbers) formatting

Asked by masonjul

I cannot make array (numbers) or array (texts) questions display as arrays on the paper form. It works properly with regular "arrays", but not when the user can enter text or numbers- instead it looks like a separate question for each column of the array. If quexml to pdf does not support this type of arrays, is there some other way I can get multiple text or numerical entries on a single line of the paper form? I am trying to make a clean and condense way for respondents to enter information similar to what is shown below.

Annual Income Number of Family Members
Family 1 $50000 2
Family 2 $85000 4
Family 3 $20000 1

I would really appreciate any suggestions! Thanks,
 Julie

Hi Julie,

queXML PDF doesn't support this at the moment.

One way to do it would be to create a question with multiple free text responses - then use a program such as LibreOffice Draw to manually edit the PDF to add more columns. When using queXF to process the forms - then use the "Banding" function to tell queXF what the new input fields are for that page.
