Pictures of open responses in a database

Asked by Samuel

Dear community,

I want to ask if you know if it is possible to keep the "pictures" of open text answers in a appropiate database instead of typing it via keyboard?

Thanks in advance
Samuel

Dear Samuel,

queXF stores the image of each page either in the database or in the images/ directory. It then loads them for processing or to display in the browser for operators to verify them.

What do you want to do with these "pictures"?

If you want to export them as images for use in a different system, just identify the bid (box id) of the particular open text box, then in the boxes table in the database you will find the pid (page id) and the location on the page (tlx, tly, brx, bry). With this information it would be straightforward to write a script to export the images of that portion of the page.
