Question type for multiple selection

Asked by Mark Carver

I have a question where my respondents choose demographic options, such as male/female, age, etc. The problem is, I didn't set this up as a yes/no option so they have just ticked it if it applies or left blank if it doesn't. An example is:

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1vD-g6T23WOXiSZAAfoz41QKg0TaXLXwfeLuZfanfta0/edit?usp=sharing

So a male, mature, dyslexic student would tick boxes 1, 3, and 6. How should I band this page?

Also, when I'm doing verification, should I just press enter if it has been correctly interpreted as blank, or should I press 0, 1, or 2?

Hope this is clear, thanks for any help.

Dear Mark,

These should be banded as individual single choice boxes, or alternatively as a group of multiple choice boxes.

During verification - yes just press enter if correctly interpreted. Pressing the number keys are just shortcuts.

Thanks Adam, I had them as individual so that should work. Is there a list of verification shortcuts anywhere? Specifically, if the only options are blank or ticked then what would I press if it was not already correctly interpreted?

Thank you again

Dear Mark,

The shortcuts are at the bottom of this page:

To toggle ticked/unticked, press the space bar.
