Deleting duplicate forms

Asked by Mark Carver

I have accidentally ended up with duplicate forms, I think because my connection crashed whilst importing a directory of PDF files and I just reloaded. I can get a list of duplicates (pasted below), but can't see an easy way to delete them. Or does this not matter? E.g. do they only go through verification once and only get including in the output once?

Thanks

Mark

Dear Mark,

The duplicates will still come through verification and data output. I think I should implement a feature here that allows for duplicates to be deleted if they have not already been verified. I'll create a bug report from this question.

To do this manually - you could remove the form from the forms table by the 'fid' value - if it has not already been verified.

Thank you. Is there a guide to accessing the forms table? I had QueXF set up on a server for me, so don't know where to look.

Dear Mark,

There isn't a guide for this. Basically you have to access the mysql database directly and run statements in the form of:

DELETE FROM `forms` WHERE fid IN (184,185,186);

A good tool for doing this via a web browser is phpmyadmin

Hello, I've put 1.15.0 over the existing version, but just can't see the delete duplicates option. A screengrab is here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/fo0zi3usefjc5do/dupformsscreengrab.docx

Am I missing something obvious, or did the installation not work?

Thanks

Mark

Dear Mark,

My apologies for the long delay in replying.

If there isn't a column headed "Delete" then 1.15.0 isn't installed correctly.

Adam Zammit
