Full path in window title

Asked by Wolfgang

First of all, thank you for qpdfview - it's such a nice pdf viewer that integrates really well into my general workflow.

Would it be possible to add an option to show the full path (not just the name of the pdf) in the window title? I know that hovering over a tab shows the full path, but it would be nice if this could also be shown in the window title.

Why is this useful? For example, I use qpdfview as my pdf viewer, but for editing pdfs, I use a different application. I have a keyboard shortcut set up that run a script that grabs the name of the pdf and opens up the same pdf in this other application. For grabbing the name of the pdf, I just process what I get from 'ps x', which includes the full path to the pdf. But if I have multiple pdfs open, then only the full path to the pdf opened first will be part of what I get from ps. If the full path was in the window title, I could process what I get from something like wmctrl and then use this in my script.

Alternatively, an option to directly open the pdf in the current tab in another application via a shortcut would be a nice feature. Either one of these would allow the kind of workflow I have in mind (and I suspect others would benefit from).

Thanks for considering such a feature.
