How to update qpdf?

Asked by Parth Semwal

Hi guys. I am a complete newbie to Lubuntu, so please excuse my inability to do this basic task of updating a program.
I'm using qpdf version 0.14.7.99 and would like to update to 0.14.8. I have downloaded latest the dot tz file and extracted it. What do i need to do now to update? The folder contains all sorts of gibberish :/

Hello Parth,

I think the easiest way for you to get the latest version of qpdfview is to use the PPA containing the daily builds [1]. There used to be a PPA for the latest stable version for Ubuntu [2] but it does not seem to be maintained ATM.

Best regards,
Adam

Hello again,

sorry, this was my fault for not enabling the newer distributions on the PPA. I fixed this and it is currently building [1]. When the builds are done you should be able to retry and install.

Best regards,
Adam
