Is it possible to see bookmarked folders (same as file explorer) when in the 'open' dialog box?

Asked by Cedric Eveleigh

When I click to open a document from inside qpdfview, the dialog box does not show my bookmarked folders but I would like to know if there's a setting to make them visible or if it can be implemented in qpdfview.

Hello Cedric,

the bookmarked folders are visible in the open file dialog that is supplied by the desktop environment resp. toolkit. Usually, Qt tries to use those "native" file dialogs and everything will work as in any other application. But depending on the installed Qt version and the style it uses, it might pick the wrong file dialog and so your bookmarks are not visible there. But this implies that the issue is very much specific to the combination of Linux distribution, desktop environment and qpdfview build that you are using.

So what is your context here? Which distribution and desktop are you using? How did you install qpdfview?
