Full path on hover in Recently used

Asked by Peter Passchier

Grateful for the full path provided when hovering over tabs -- as I frequently use different documents with the same name in different directories. When I was trying to reopen a few, I found I couldn't use the "Recently used" menu, because only the basename was given. Would it be possible to have a full path on hover there too?? Or if not, just provide the full path in the menu entries.

Thanks a lot for your great work, Adam!

Hello Peter,

actually the tool tip for these menu items was always set to the absolute file path, but Qt menus do not display tool tips by default. I just committed revision 2036 to trunk which should enable this for the recently used, the recently closed, the tabs and the bookmarks menus. However, note that some global menu integration systems like Ubuntu's Unity might not display these tool tips either and I cannot change that as I do not control their rendering.

Best regards, Adam.

Cool! I hope this should work on Ubuntu MATE. I'm going to try it straight away, thanks!
