Feature request: Find with whole-word-only option

Asked by Antoine

Hello,

I am often working with big PDF specifications, and a feature that I miss a lot on Linux is the "whole-word-only" option when searching for text. FoxitReader has it, but is horrible to use. Qpdfview is my favorite on Linux, so adding it would really be perfect.

(I am using qpdfview 0.4.7 BTW)

And I just saw another small thing: return is not working when keyboard focus is in the "outline" panel. I would expect the view to jump to the selected bookmark/section.

Hello Antoine,

the whole-words-only option is available since version 0.4.14 when Poppler 0.31 or newer is used. (With older versions of Poppler, the option is present in qpdfview but it does not work since Poppler does not yet support it.)

Depending on the distribution you are using, you can get the latest stable builds from [1].

Best regards, Adam.

P.S.: Concerning the issue with return/enter not working in the outline view: I cannot currently reproduce this, so please retest with the latest daily builds before reporting a bug about it. Thanks!

Can you help with this problem?
