Set two-page view as default

Asked by Osborne

Hi, is it currently possible to have qpdfview remember these settings and start automatically in two-page view mode (or two-page + cover, etc)? If not, would you consider implementing it?

Cheers and thanks for this excellent software!

Hello Osborne,

there are currently three mechanisms which determine what view mode is used when opening a document:

1 - Whenever the view mode is explicitly changed by the user, qpdfview will store that as the default to use when opening a new tab.

3 - If the document itself requests a certain view mode like two-pages with cover page, qpdfview will honor that request which will overwrite the defaults from 1.

2 - If "restore per-file settings" is enabled in the settings, qpdfview will track and restore the view mode for each file (actually path in the file system) it encounters and will use these settings when the document is opened again overwriting the request from 3.

Can you help with this problem?
