printing filled forms

Asked by monkeybrain2012

Hi,

When I fill a form where there is a lot to fit into a text box the contents are truncated when printed out, while using PDF-Xchange-viewer in Wine to fill the form this problem doesn't occur. Printing is done with cups-pdf in both cases. I don't know how to attach files here otherwise I can show you an example.

Since this happens with Okular and Evince as well it may be a problem in poppler. I am asking the question just in case..

Thanks

Hello,

as your testing with Okular and Evince indicates, the layout and rendering of form data is done by Poppler and hence we need to report this with the Poppler project. (This applies to the form data after it has been input, i.e. not during the interactive part itself when standard Qt widgets are used.)

I am would be willing to write an isolated test case highlighting the issue if you like. But as a first step I'd suggest checking the Poppler bug tracker, if this has not been reported already.

Best regards, Adam.

P.S.: Concerning attaching files, I think this function is limited to bug reports. Please don't be shy to open bug reports even if you are not sure whether they affect qpdfview or actually some other component further upstream. After all, one can always close them if it desired.

Can you help with this problem?
