Qimo Install needs "acpi=force"

Asked by THHealy

I'm trying to install Qimo on an older PC with an AmiBio [2000], 256M RAM and Celeron @ 700MHz & get an error message saying it needs acpi=force" at boot, but unlike Xbuntu and Puppy, I do not see a way to do this. [ In Puppy, for example, there is a boot pause at which one can type" "Puppy acpi=force" ] Can anyone give me the how-to? Thanks! Tom

It should be the same as in Xubuntu.

When booting from the CD, press F6 to modify the boot line. It's kind of hard to see, because it's white text on nearly-white background, but it's there. Once it's installed, you should be able to add it to the grub configuration.

Can you help with this problem?
