Can't upgrade on Kubuntu Jaunty: "qbittorrent Depends: geoip-database but it is not installable"

Asked by Sciamano

Hi!
I'm running Kubuntu Jaunty, and have been using qbittorrent for some time (installed from the hydr0g3n repository).
Recently, qbittorrent is marked as upgradable but when I try to upgrade it, I receive this error:

qBittorrent
Depends: geoip-database but it is not installable

I searched for the geoip-database package and in fact I couldn't find it...
Any help?
Thanks

Indeed, this dependency should not be there on jaunty (wrong karmic backport). I'll update my repository tonight.

Ok. I uploaded a fixed package. It should be built on my PPA soon. Thanks a lot for reporting this issue. I upgraded to karmic so I no longer test my jaunty packages).

Glad I could help.
I'll report again as soon as the dependency problem disappears, to confirm the problem has been solved :-)
