qBittorrent says this is an invalid magnet URI. Is it really?

Asked by André Chalella

magnet:?xt=urn:btih:c538e6f8e015a4286e3eb8aa69952d80166a2d33&dn=%5BWii%5DDeadly_Creatures%5BPAL%5D.rar&tr=http%3A%2F%2Ftracker.publicbt.com%2Fannounce

Got it from The Pirate Bay. I may open a bug report if that happens to be valid.

This magnet link works fine here. What qBittorrent version are you using?

qBittorrent v2.0.5 is OK. (Magnet link support was greatly improved in v2.0.1.)

That's definitely it. Debian is still on 2.0.0 (and I'm using unstable).

Debian unstable has v2.0.4 (v2.0.5 was also uploaded but it is not in the repository yet).

See:
http://packages.debian.org/sid/qbittorrent

If you mirror is outdated, you can always download v2.0.4 from there. and install it with dpkg.

No question you're right. I installed from unstable a couple months ago, but as the rest of the system is still on testing, it didn't follow unstable.

Thanks for all the support!
