qBittorrent

Generic icon in menu - where is the proper one

I installed the latest Qbittorrent 0.93 on Ubuntu 7.04. Everything went OK and it works fine. Only niggle is that the icon in the Apps menu is the generic square rather than the blue Qbittorrent sphere.

Where can I find the proper icon, and why hasn't it been set anyway?

If you go to

System > Preferences > Main Menu

you can highlight the application and click properties and change the icon.

/usr/share/pixmaps has quite alot

try search for any files related to Qbittorrent (whereis : locate the binary, source, and manual page files for a command)

whereies Qbittorrent

or

whereis qbittorrent

now do sudo updatedb

and then you could try (locate : searchs for files on your system)

locate Qbittorrent

again try with lowercase

locate qbittorrent

you can download the png from http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/fr/5/59/Qbittorrent-96.png
then with a sudo in the terminal copy paste in /usr/share/pixmaps (or you can keep it anywhere you want)
then follow what derry says and point to the png. :)
