How peer-to-peer proxy works

Asked by Maksim Ivanov

1.3.0 alpha on ArchLinux

I set http proxy for search and socks proxy for peer-2-peer, on Preferences-Bittorent I UNCHECK all 3 options in "Addiditional Bittorent features" and on Preferences-Proxy I CHECK all 4 options in "Affected connections" but when I add new torrent and start it, according to netstat, I see direct connections from my client port to other peers instead connections to proxy.
What am I doing wrong?

Could you please try latest svn? I fixed bug (that you reported iirc) in proxy settings. In alpha, search and P2P proxy settings are confused and this can be the source of you problem.

If the problem persists then, report back to me and I will check with libtorrent author (could be a bug in libtorrent although you would be the first one to report it).
