Recomended architecture when using SSI

Asked by coolkil

I'm running an ssi cluster and currently I have setup 2 BYOL systems. One on member1 of the ssi cluster and one on member2 of the ssi cluster. This however leads to possible unexpected results since dirmaint is synchronised across the cluster but the zVM cloud connector is not. say for example that i accidently try to manage a Linux guest using the "wrong" cloud connector on a diffrent member this will result in an error due to cloud connector not finding the guest in its sqlite database.

Do i need to setup the cloud connector on only one system or both?

kind regards

Chris

Hi,

Please keep using 2 cloud connector to manage the 2 SSI member. Each cloud connector manages virtual guests on the same z/VM system. It works as design that guest on zvm-1 can not be found in zvm-2's cloud connector database.
