qtconsole in emacs

Asked by Justin

Hello,

I asked this question on the Ipython boards and they suggested switching to the Ipython notebook. However, I find that when doing "scratch" work, the regular Ipython interpreter is easier to work with. However, one thing I cannot get in emacs is inline figures, which to my knowledge can only be used in the notebook or qtconsole.

That said, I was wondering if there is any setting I can change in python-mode (or anything in python-model.el that I can edit) so that when I do C-c-C-c, my code executes in ipython qtconsole with pylab. This would be equivalent to having the ipython interpreter in emacs open ipython qtconsole --pylab=inline.

Thanks,

Justin
