Why does PyShell Python interpreter have dots on load?

Asked by Titus Barik

When I first do "C-c C-c" on a Python file, the shell starts with a sequence of "... ..." like so:

... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... >>> ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... >>> ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ...

Why does it do this, and can this be turned off? I noticed that I can't get this behavior when I run python on the file directly from the command-line, and I noticed that it doesn't occur in the FSF Python Mode.

Thanks!

that's a bug, sorry.

Please file bug report, giving some example, which triggers the bug.
