There is no package.

Use bazaar and make a branch of the lp:pytave/trunk repository.

it starts downloading, but after ~100 kB i get the message

There is something that you should know.

Bazaar (at least on this site) never fails to have its wire protocol broken one way or another exactly at the wrong time. So I prepared a tarball for you.
