Pygments

Asked by Alexander

Hello!
Don't sure I understand correctly, but according to this page http://pygments.org/docs/integrate/#pygtk it's possible to get PyRoom and Pygments together.
If it's possible -- it's possible to highlight everything in this world, not just LaTex :)
What do you think?

It probably is quite possble.

However, the goal of Pyroom is to be as simple and unobtrusive as possible. While we are discussing very, very simple syntax highlighting for text-based markup (i.e., not programming languages), the LaTeX branch was an experiment done as a favor by a volunteer for someone who requested it, and we're not moving in that direction at this time.

It is a feature we are likely to revisit in the future.

Looking at the pygments briefly it looks like it doesn't mark-up "inline" so you would have to press a button to get the syntax highlighting working. And as nathan said - syntax highligthign is something that we are not moving towards right now.
