After install into postfix, pypolicyd-spf does not do or log anything - any ideas?

Asked by Graham Leggett

After installing pypolicyd-spf onto a centos7 system and integrating it into postfix, I'm not seeing any evidence that pypolicyd-spf is doing anything.

There is no message in /var/log/maillog.

master.cf has this added:

policyd-spf unix - n n - 0 spawn
  user=nobody argv=/bin/python /usr/libexec/postfix/policyd-spf /etc/python-policyd-spf/policyd-spf.conf

main.cf has this added:

            reject_unauth_destination,
            check_policy_service unix:private/policyd-spf,

The socket is created correctly, but that's it:

/var/spool/postfix/private/policyd-spf

Is there a step missing?

I would recommend reviewing the "TESTING THE POLICY DAEMON" section of the provided man page to verify the policy server itself is working correctly. Also, double check that the paths in master.cf correspond exactly to the actual file locations (I don't use Centos, so I can't judge if that's correct or not).
