Doesn't find anything while "Scanning Host XXXX for shares".

Asked by KitchM

The program is fast at finding everything local, plus finding the local workgroup and servers. However, it can't seem to find anything when it scans a given remote host for shares, and it doesn't ever stop trying. What could be the problem on my Arch Linux/Windows ME LAN?

Thank you.

This was expired because of lack of response. However, I never received the notice that there had been any other comments. Is the system broken?

A remote host is a host that is not this computer.

Did something change with the network architecture after windoze me that changed your program?

Since others, such as the kernel extenstion, support it, I am surprised you don't. I did not know that pyneighborhood was a Microsoft program. I will find something else that is not tied to Microsoft. Something more utilitarian.
