how to register new xmp namespace

hi,

is it possible to register a new namespace with pyexiv2 and set a value to it?

the exiv2 command for that is:
exiv2 -M 'reg imageapp http://ns.imagapp.pro/imageapp/v1/' -M'set Xmp.imageapp.uuid asdfasd' 1.jpg

This is not supported in the current version of pyexiv2, but will eventually be implemented.
The bug report that tracks this feature is bug #549496.

This feature was implemented in version 0.3.0.
