I did find the anwser.... a few drupal modules exists that do this job. Do you recommend one? Do you plan on adding one in prosepoint?

Thx

I'd like to open this discussion up a bit to clarify on you're trying to do.

Firstly, the next version of ProsePoint will be using Drupal's workflow.module to handle workflow, and then workflow_access.module to handle permissions for stories.

When you say channel permissions, what do you mean, and how do you think it would work?

Hi!

I would like staff members to get permission by chanel (one, many or all). For exemple, in a journal, I would not permit a local sport staff to write on the international politics section.

Thx.

N.B.: Sorry if I'm not always clear, my first language is not english.

Ah, okay.

Would the Workflow module meet your needs already then?

You can adjust the permissions so only editors can make stories Public. Then, if your sports staff writes a story and assigns it to the Politics channel, it won't be visible until an editor makes it Public. The editor can then make sure it's in the correct channel before making it Public.

Hi!

The staff has to be able to make public there stories... but only in there assigned chanel(s). Can an editor be assigned chanels? Would I need to create a role for each chanel or groups of chanels?

I'll wait for workflow to be in PP and see if it fits or if I have to use something else. Will I be able to switch the module off or will it be mandatory for PP?

Thx

Hmmm... okay. This is something that isn't part of ProsePoint, at least, not yet. So I might have to defer it as a Wishlist feature request.

Or if you find a way to implement this using Drupal modules, I'd like to know how you did it.

In the new ProsePoint with Workflow.module, I think you can switch Workflow off and nothing will break too much or not break at all (but the dashboard might show less information). But I haven't actually tested this.

The new release with Workflow should be out in about a week or so. Hopefully.
