How to convert site to regular Drupal installation

Asked by MK

Hello:

Unfortunately, I'm getting to the point of abandoning the Pp profile, which feels like a "fork" because of customization and maintenance issues. So I need to develop a plan for converting back and forth between Pp and a regular Drupal site. I'm assuming I can't simply install a fresh Drupal site from scratch and then restore from a Pp backup to get my nodes restored. How can I protect the customization that was done in Pp and apply it to the new site, and vice versa, assuming that you'll be refining this project as time goes on?

Thank you,

~MK

Since this hasn't been tested, I can't say what the results will be. You may end up with a site that partially works, or not.

A lot of ProsePoint is just configuring the included Drupal modules. If you look in detail at ProsePoint's setup, you can then try to use the same configuration settings on your own site.

Can you help with this problem?
