TinyMCE Editor. How do I turn on and off parts of it.

Asked by theporterman

The editor doesn't show up in mod's or in permission to adjust or turn on or off and it just shows up where ever it wants in the site and most of it is turned off. Like can not add a http:// links or demote them with the buttons or change fonts, Delete pictures and so on. I guess I'm asking where is the settings page like you have when you install it as if it were not in PP. There should be a simple mode and advanced mode and a place to say who gets to use it and who does not. If not why is it built in to PP so limited. Can I just remove it and install it the normal way to have the functions. ???? It has smiles in it's directory how do I turn them on. Only some of the buttons work like add pictures. I have checked my files they seem to be good. I get no error code. The site acts like it is not there but in some places like story it is. I want to add a public forum but it is only there in edit mode and as I said most of it is disabled. I know Tech's like plan and black and white and only what needed to breath, I just need A tinyMCE bit more for a public site. Thanks.

The site is http://www.isiok.com it's on hostgator server, the full demo ver. It does this with a new install before any changes and I just upgraded to 0.12. and still the same I just know I'm missing something here. I'm looking at it and using firefox 3.xx.

Hi,

You are not going to like the answer to this question :)

The visual/rich editor in ProsePoint is built into the 'ProsePoint editor' module. It doesn't use the normal Drupal tinymce.module or wysiwyg.module.

The ProsePoint editor was built from scratch so it could integrate with ProsePoint's image insertion and other cosmetic reasons. Unfortunately, it doesn't have all the extra configuration options that you might expect, because it's supposed to 'just work' and not need fiddling with.

It might be possible to add all those options, or replace it with the equivalent Drupal modules, but that's going to require some development.

Sorry.
