Is it possible to have transparent dropdown menus for the primary and secondary menu like the one in the administration menu at the top?

Asked by jackson_vkh

Hi,

I'm very new to Drupal and ProsePoint. I was wondering if it would be possible to have my primary and secondary links menus work like the great transparent drop down menu (administrative) at the top?

Is this something that is built in or would I need to code the css from scratch. Thought I'd toss it out there before I spend hours trying to make it work!

Thanks for the great piece of software!

J.

It is possible, but you'd have to modify the theme. The default ProsePoint theme doesn't have this feature out of the box.

To implement this, you (or someone you employ) would need to know about CSS and drupal themeing.

For an example of drop down menus for primary & secondary links, have a look at the PP Newswire theme (linked from http://www.prosepoint.org/story/customising-drupal-theme-newswire-for-prosepoint). You can probably combine the suckerfish menus technique from this theme with the CSS transparency technique from admin_menu to get what you want.

Or if this sounds like gibberish to you, you probably need to seek out a web developer.

Can you help with this problem?
