Future Functionality

Asked by gandalf511

I'm planning on trying out ProsePoint for an electronic academic journal. For now, I just need to be able to have some pages working to advertise the new site; eventually though, I want to add blogging and wiki modules. Are there any drupal modules that fit better or worse with the ProsePoint construction? Also, is there any plan to add blogging or wiki modules to the core ProsePoint installation in the future?

Blogging:

There is work to reimplement channels such that there are two modes of operation: Scheduled editions (which is what happens now), and reverse chronological story listings. The second mode is essentially a blog. We hope to have this feature out in perhaps about two weeks, hopefully earlier.

Wiki:

There are no plans to add wiki's at this stage. In the far future, we may consider it if enough people ask for it, but I don't really see that happening.

Feel free to add your own Drupal wiki modules (presuming you know what you're doing). Depending on how you go, we might even borrow your module selection ideas (with your permission, of course).

Personally, I haven't done an evaluation of what wiki modules are suitable, so I can't quite suggest or recommend anything.
