mail status remains un-read

Asked by Gerhard du Toit

The status remains un-read even when read.

Is this still work in progress or is there another way to set the status?

Currently using POP, and even after opening an email (unread) in Open ERP (and downloading full body text), the mail still remains unread

Hi Gerhard,

Its a known issue.

There is no form invoke event i know of on which I can change the status of the email as read. I am still waiting for a solution!

Also the reason why I still maintain it is I am slowly building a generic email extractor, something like generate tickets from email etc. Then a mail would be set as read if any action is taken over it. Currently the work is not funded and hence not able to do it!

Cheers!

Sharoon

Hello Sharoon.

Can we make a simple workflow behind the emails, that convert throught a simple button to _read_ with the interaction of the user?, It is very simple and It is not confortable but IMHO is better that don't have anything .... What do you think about that?

Thanks

Yes,

I think its a good suggestion. We could definitely review a patch for that if anyone has it?

Thanks
