QGIS can't run on winxp

I want to run QGIS from the Portable GIS control panel,but it can't start. why?

But I can run uDig GvSIG and OpenEV really well .

It seemed that the QGIS can't start on a pc which never install qgis before.

Is there any advice for me? thanks!

Hi,

This is a known problem with this release of Quantum GIS, unfortunately. You might need to follow the instructions on this page http://www.qgis.org/en/download/current-software.html to install the Microsoft C Runtime Libraries (in the section on Windows standalone). Unfortunately you might need to install these on each computer that needs to run Quantum GIS.
