Why replies aren't displayed ?

Asked by toine512

First of all, thanks for your great work ! I spent my afternoon looking for a decent client when I finally discovered Polly. It's just what I needed, basicly something like TweetDeck (which is dead now :( ).

The only thing I don't understand is why replies from people that I'm following don't appear. I'm not talking about mentions here but their replies to someone else.

Again, thank you !

Hi,

I know that Twitter is not supposed to show replies to you unless you follow both the sender and the recipient, isn't this what's happening?

Oh, I didn't know that ! That's not how TweetDeck is acting.
Thanks to you, I just discovered the option called "Include @replies from your friends to others" in TweetDeck.

So, I don't think that's a Twitter limitation. In this case, could you implement it easily ?

To be more accurate, it's a Twitter limitation that TweetDeck is working around by doing non-standard stuff.

I'm not sure if this is worth implementing, but I'll take a look.

Thank you. Since Twitter API is SSL, I can't sniff how TweetDeck is behaving.
This feature is critial for me, btw Polly is the best client I've seen.
Good work ! ;)
