How to write a private message to any follower?

I'd like to write a direct/private message to a user who is not displayed in any of my streams, i.e. she has not sent a tweet for some time. How can I send her a direct message? In Tweetdeck I just type 'd nickname' and the message is turned into a private message. Is there anything like this in polly?

Not yet... But making DM easier is definitely on the plans before release. I'm drafting some designs.

I'd like to add my support to Matthias' question. Coming from Tweetdeck as well, I'd love to have exactly what he describes.
